Pirate-themed CT scanner for the little ones

This New York childern's hospital just purchased a pirate-themed CT-scanner to help make it easy on the kids. GE provided this scanner for the hospital offering them themes of either fish or pirates, so the staff decided the latter. There's no debate that these medical scans are harmless but the atmosphere can often make adults shake their legs, not to imagine kids.

The children being scanned could be dealing with something as serious as cancer to checking on bone fractures, but the room's decoration helps them keep their mind off.
